Star Wars: The Old Republic has reached out to fans in a tweet asking them to vote on the Webby website so the trailer can earn itself an award. The trailer is up against some tough competition in the Film and Video Long Form (Branded) category, including an animated short from Chipotle that came out last year. Originally released in October of last year to advertise the SWTOR expansion, Knights of the Eternal Throne, this cinematic is only now getting some recognition.

There’s no denying that it’s beautifully animated and tells quite the story of a young girl who is strong with the Force. The six minute trailer is full of action, intrigue, love, and betrayal. Viewed on Youtube close to five million times, the Knights of the Eternal Throne “Betrayed” cinematic trailer is certainly loved by fans, which is why it’s no surprise that it’s been nominated for a Webby. Oh, and also their downright gorgeous cinematic trailers. A new Flashpoint is also set to be introduced on the planet Elom, with an additional Operation for players to complete there, too.Star Wars: The Old Republic is an MMORPG set in the Star Wars universe, known for its signature Bioware dialogue trees and the ability to play both good and bad characters. The level cap is being raised to 80, which will play nicely with new weapon and ability combinations offered by Combat Styles. Legacy of the Sith is set to take players to the new planet of Manaan, which plays host to a massive military campaign with the goal of securing the land for your faction. Story content will be omitted to prevent spoilers before launch. Many of the new mechanics that will be introduced with this new expansion, such as Combat Styles, will be reintroduced into public test servers soon for additional player-feedback. "We’re focusing additional testing on the many areas we have changed throughout the game to deliver the experience we want, and one that you deserve." "Legacy of the Sith is something the team has been hard at work on for quite a while but as we get ever closer to launch, it is clear that we need a bit more time," wrote project director Keith Kanneg on the game's official website.
